Joyce Goldenberg Residence Addition
The Goldenberg Residence Memory Care Renovation consists of the renovation and remodeling of the existing 15,000 square foot 16 bed hospice into a 20 bed memory care residential facility. Specialized lighting, finishes, color scheme, music system specific to memory care requirements were incorporated into the design.
Discrete security and state of art resident monitoring are included. The building program provides for a wide variety of social interaction spaces. The interiors are designed to provide a small scale, home-like atmosphere for the residents.
The building has 20 private residence bedrooms and support space. Special consideration was taken with site layout to ensure resident bedrooms and family areas could take advantage of outdoor patios and landscape vistas. Because the facility remains open during hurricanes and acts as an emergency shelter for special needs patients, it has an emergency generator, storm rated windows, dining and shower facilities for staff.
